Juice Up: Watch Smoothie Magic Happen in This Video
Wednesday, December 22, 2010
Dear Real Moms,
With all the cookies I’ve just had to sample this holiday season, I’m feeling like I need a day or two of healthy detox meals before Saturday’s Christmas dinner. I have a juicer but am usually too busy to decide what to do with it. What would you suggest? — Sabine, Arnold, MD
I’m always excited to preach the power of smoothies! A good juice can really ramp up your nutritional content, and it’s honestly so much easier than making a salad ’cause all you have to do is throw the whole veggies and fruits in, hit a button, and bam.
Take a peek at my guest appearance on Kenmore Live Studio for some more tips, then check out my recipes so you don’t have to write ‘em down from the video.
Another tip: keep the juicer out and accessible. Sometimes it seems harder to make only because it’s crammed in the back of an out-of-reach cupboard. Give it a prominent place on the counter and you’ll see how easy, healthy, and tasty your liquid lunch can be!
