Every time I turn on the radio there’s yet another Presidents Day sale to consider. So for all those of you looking to sail away into savings, this post’s for you. (Pardon the pun, but I got all excited when I found this classic Enya tune on YouTube, and had to share it. I know, cheesy…but classic, right?)

Now I’m not suggesting running out and spending those hard-earned dollars on stuff you don’t need just because it’s cheaper today, but if there are specific things you’ve been eying, there are some excellent savings options happening now. Example: if you’re ready to ditch the sketchy nonstick pans but haven’t gotten around to getting the safer kitchenware, this might be the time to do it.
Here are a few sales highlights I’ve dug up…
Sears: It’s 30 percent off small kitchen appliances here, from KitchenAid to Cuisinart (hello, smoothies!) to Keurig coffee makers.
Pottery Barn: While they may not be really crucial in a kitchen, there are some adorable entertaining options for way less than usual—we’re talking up to 60 percent off hundreds of items. Sort of like a splurge, but with a little less guilt factor.
Williams-Sonoma: For those like me who can’t get the kids to commit to spending 20 minutes in the most boring place for kids ever, aka, the kitchen store, this is the ticket: free shipping off your entire order through midnight tonight. New Le Creuset cast-iron cookware is on sale and since it’s really heavy stuff, free shipping makes for an even better deal.
Lowes: Is it time for bigger purchases? This home improvement retailer is offering 10-28 percent off major appliances, including some smart EnergyStar options.
Happy Presidents Day! I hope you can celebrate it by enjoying some extra time with the fam today.
